PORTABLE X-RAY GENERATOR

A SIMPLE & EFFECTIVE PRINCIPLE

Thanks to its rod anode, which is located outside the SF-6 insulated generator, the volume of lead required for standard radiation protection is considerably reduced. This minimized weight makes it possible for our engineers to further improve both quality and general performance (including robustness, the cooling system and accessories) without having to add further weight to the product. This makes it one of the lightest portable generator series available on the market.

SCU2.0 CONTROL UNIT FOR SITEX & SITEXS 

PERFORMANCE

The SCU2.0 has a system for direct measurement of the high voltage delivered by the X-Ray generator to guarantee the accuracy of the radiological parameters. Based on this data the control system maintains the stability of mA and kilovolts to within ± 0.5% in any selection range.

SITEX & XS units offer a totally constant quality of exposures, as they are virtually exempt from fluctuations in the power supply. Its broader power range (from 90 V to 264 VAC) voltage selector free means this robust control unit can operate from practically any mains power network worldwide. Alternatively, its 0.99 power factors enable operation from any of the most commonly used light and low power generating sets available on the market.

OPERATOR INTERFACE

The user-friendly high strength polyester front panel is equipped with a sensory-type 16-key keypad, a high brightness display, and an anti-reflection screen.

The SCU2.0 also includes a programmable access codes system that features three security levels (supervisor, operator and service engineer) which limit the access to certain functions in relation to the security level selected.

DATABASE

First and foremost, our SCU2.0 control unit is intended to be user-friendly. In order to reduce the number of test shots to a minimum, the operator can use a virtually unlimited source of standard exposures that have been previously pre-defined. In fact, all of the radiological parameters of exposure can be memorized by simply pressing a single key, which means the operator can return to this whenever he or she wants to without having to key them back in again!

CCU186 CRAWLER CONTROL UNIT 

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

The CCU186 control unit for crawlers possesses a distinct advantage compared to existing products. In fact, all of the performances that are usually achieved with standard control units are now available in the crawler configura­tion. Automatic slow preheating, the progressive rise in voltage with each exposure, as well as a selection of set values are all included in the CCU186.

As the CCU186 has been entirely fitted with industrial electronic components, it is perfectly suited to the often extreme conditions of automatic intra-tube control campaigns.

GENERATORS

All of the generators in the SITEX crawler range are automatically identified and controlled by the CCU186: the interchangeability is total and this can be instantly implemented on-site. Moreover, thanks to a conversion kit, these generators will operate in perfect sync with the SCU286 standard control unit.

CCU186R REMOTE CONTROL

Fitting a complete control unit (that includes a display and keypad) to a crawler needlessly exposes components that are more fragile by nature to the extreme intra-tube conditions. The ICM solution to this problem is an independent pocketsize remote control unit: the CCU186R.

COMMUNICATION

The CCU186’s unique 120VDC power supply creates a direct and straightforward communication with the electronics of the crawler itself. While the CCU186R controls the preheating and the kV and mA programming procedure, the crawler controls the execution of the exposure and its duration. In return, for each of the exposures, it receives confirmation that they have been executed both efficiently and in line with the programmed kV and mA radiological parameters.

PERFORMANCE

It is essential to simultaneously discharge the various constituents of the battery. For this purpose the CCU186 requires just one supply voltage (from 105 to 140 VDC). Regardless of the voltage delivered, the kV and mA are maintained in a strictly constant manner to within ± 0.5% by an accurate control system.

To save energy, the CCU186 has an automatic standby system that ensures the general consumption is reduced to a minimum. For example, the CCU186 disconnects the cooling fans if a command has not been issued for several minutes.

If an accidental interruption occurs, the power supply immediately causes the settings to be saved, which enables the unit to be restarted without any problems.
